How many North Koreans do you see strapping explosives to themselves and getting on busses full of innocent people. Iran is a known sponsor of that type of terrorism. Even if Iran just had 1 nuke and somehow figured out a way to set it off in NY City or Los Angeles, how many Americans would die and be injured. Even if we launched 200 nukes in retaliation (yea, like Obama would even do that), the Iranians might just look at it like any other suicide mission they embark on.

So let me get this straight. We just went from "preventing Iran from getting the bomb" to some Iranian strapping a nuke they haven't even developed on and boarding a bus. I'm no expert on this issue, but i thought this nuclear stuff was pretty complex science, let alone the steps needed to make a nuke small enough to be strapped to a body in middle of NYC. Wouldn't a dirty bomb be much easier to build? In which case all they'd have to do is steal some nuclear materials, not refine them into weapons grade, which seems like something that any group could do. Not just Iran.

Replace Iran with the name of the enemy du jour and your statement justifies any type of war.

Scared and pissed off is no way to go through life, son. As our 'ol buddy Ike told us...unbridled fear and paranoia is the biggest threat to freedom this country faces. Of course that was back when being scared of your own shadow was not something a conservative manly-man could be proud of like it is today. I haven't heard any conservative ideas on how to improve our country from the GOP crowd. All I've heard is them read me a list of things I should be scared of. The list is missing one thing, though - themselves.

Yeah – Iran would wipe us out with one nuclear bomb. Pure gold.
Kim Jong Il was much more of a threat to us than a nuclear Iran would be, and he never had the balls to launch the more than one nuke he had.

Israel has much more to be worried about Iran with a nuke than the US does. Just logistically it is much more probable that Iran would use their limited nuclear capability to hit Israel than find a way to ship a nuke all the way to the US. Not to mention that one nuke on the tiny country of Israel would damn near wipe them out and one nuke on us would just piss us off.

So explosives automatically means nukes to you. You have quite the imagination it seems. My point is if Iran sees fit to sponsor suicide missions with REGULAR EXPLOSIVES, why should we put it past them to attempt a suicide mission with a nuke in one of our cities. Do you think our borders and ports are so secure a nuke could not find its way into our country? Tim McVeigh seemed to be able to drive a bomb the size of a Ryder truck up to a Federal building undetected. A nuke won't have to be placed so accurately.
