I noticed something in the beginning of the episode. A guy manning the walls of the town had a rifle, but the rifles barrel seemed to be bent at a 45 degree angle.

I saw that too. I played it back a couple of times on the DVR and showed my wife. Her response was a thoughtful eye roll and a can we get back to the show now. But it just looked like a goofy prop gun issue that they didn't seem to care to fix. I was kind of amazed that it slipped through (or they thought no one would notice).

ha!!!
My first thought was one of those break open air guns.

Who knows. It could be.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think that Merle might be the only one with any "experience".

Remember the girl with the bow? She told Andrea that she was "that good" and then couldn't hit the broadside of a walker.

Or the guys that went into the field with Merle after Michone? No experience there.

When the attack took place on the NG convoy, it was a pretty much a Charlie Foxtrot, except for the Gov and Merle.

Merle told the Gov that the prison couldn't be cleared, but then Rick and his group did it with 10 people.

I don't see alot of firearms in Woodbury (which always reminds me of Willoughby).

I'm just saying...I'm guessing that there are more secrets in Woodbury.

I still think Rick and his crew are dumba$$es. If it were me hold up in the prison I would have made several spears and used them to kill as many walkers that came up to the fence as I could. Someday they are either going to have to leave or they will get a get a hole in the fence. Cutting down as many walkers as is possible before then without using ammo or risking your people only makes sense.

And the same with clearing cell blocks.
