Somebody needs to kill merle, and the "governor".

I agree. Throw Andrea in there and you get the tri-fecta. But seriously Andrea needs to die already. She is wearing my nerves thin with her whole, I want to be a bad mofo schtick. I just really can't stand her anymore.

I still think Rick and his crew are dumba$$es. If it were me hold up in the prison I would have made several spears and used them to kill as many walkers that came up to the fence as I could. Someday they are either going to have to leave or they will get a get a hole in the fence. Cutting down as many walkers as is possible before then without using ammo or risking your people only makes sense.

Although it could be argued that its a good defensive move to leave a bunch of walkers standing around outside of the fence as a sort of 1st line of defense. Of course this goes out the window if somebody just drives a big truck over the fense to get at you. I think it'd be a good idea to have 20 or 30 locked up in a room in the prison and have some big tubs of zombie goo. Then, if somebody attacks, you all just take a dip in the goo, release the horde, and escape in the ensuing massacre.

In the comic they kept them from building up against the fence by stabbing them in the head with things.

Yep it is the smart thing to do. To me if things go to hell, you remove any possible threat you can as safely as possible. Do not wait for the threat to grow larger or something else to come along.

I like the idea of a 3 to 4 foot long spear because it gives you a little room just in case something goes wrong and is not that hard to make.

Get off my lawn.
It hasn't ended yet. The governor comes in and kills a bunch of them at the prison. Including Lori and Judith. Rick and Carl set out together. They end up meeting up with some of the others, I think Glen and Maggie and two young girls that are not on the TV show. The girls belonged to a man and woman from the original group. I think it was carol and her husband. The mom gets dead and the dad takes the kids. He eventually loses it and kills himself and Glen and Maggie take the kids in. Then they find a new town that's not crazy like Woodbury. Then it gets overrun by zombies and lots of people die. That's pretty much the end of book 7. Book 8 just came out a couple months ago.

The show has stayed distant from most of the book outside the general outline that it's hard to spoil the show with the book.
