I wish my bank would follow suit. I've been talking to them about it and they're just dead set against it. We have several people who have their CCL, but they think it's just too dangerous and would be like the wild west.

Good for you Ratski...

Had a woman friend go into a Wal-Mart the other day and get followed around in the store by a bunch of thug-looking characters -- to the point of scaring her to tears. She is not easily rattled and it wouldn't have bothered her but it was so blatant and so prolonged. Not that she'd have pulled a gun had she had one but she'd have felt a little more comfortable with one in her purse on her way to the parking lot. And worse come to worse, wouldn't have done her any good in the care.

Does this apply to all Arvest bank locations or just your local branch?:anyone:

I got the sign taken down at my branch. It is discretionary at all other branches. Some Branch managers are under the impression that it is mandatory to put up the sign because of the way that they received the signs.

If you talk to the branch manager and they tell you that it is required, you can politely inform them that you have found out that it is discretionary and ask them to check on it. Then, follow through.
