Cape Buffalo in South Africa 🌍
When I was in South Africa we had an oh, **** moment involving cape buffalo. We were staying at a private game reserve and decided to go on a horseback safari. Some fancy pants Britsh folks in their English riding gear give their horses the spurs and take off so the rest of the horses take off as well. We run up a small hill, maybe 20-25' high and as we crest over the top we run into a herd of cape buffalo. Everyone does a quick 180 and halls balls back down the hill.

On the flip side of that, when we went up to Pilanesberg National Park we did a similar safari on elephants. We came onto some rhinos and the elephants gave chase. It was a blast. Things are different when you're on 5-6 tons of beast.

Sounds like a lot of fun and excitement for sure!

H8ll, I'd just be happy to go on a successful deer hunt here in Oklahoma. I've been on many deer hunts, but yet to have a successful one.
I had success in OK a few times about 30 years ago when population of deer was a fraction of what it is now. But I lost all my hunting spots to farmers who wanted to charge $3000 or so for a year lease. Nope, I aint doing that. My brother was a veteranarian in NE and know a LOT of the ranchers and he had standing permission to hunt so I went up there every Oct. to kill a deer. That wasnt hunting, it was shopping lol. Had to pay $225 for an out of state tag and that was hard to swaller but it was fun as heck.
