We can turn it around on them. For example, when they say gun-safety, we say what it is: gun-control or gun confiscation. Ask them how UBC's are going to be effective without universal registration. They say the 'gun lobby' is what they're really fighting against, not the NRA, but who is the most effective firearms lobbying groups?

I don't get why so many antis think these are true facts. Unless, ah ha, the sellers are breaking the law. So let's make more laws that these people will also ignore.

1 Prohibited purchasers, including convicted felons and people with dangerous
mental illness, can buy a gun online or at a gun show without a background
check, no questions asked.
2 Many dangerous people, including people convicted of stalking or domestic
abuse against a dating partner, can legally purchase and own guns.
3 Individuals suffering from dangerous mental illness, but not committed
to an institution, can legally purchase and own guns.
4 Known and suspected terrorists can legally purchase and own guns.

I did notice that the only mention of new gun laws, the laws were called "gun safety laws". No mention of gun control.

It's a word game.

Ya I posted a thread couple days ago down in politics noting Bloomberg was using "Gun Safety laws" in his TV adds instead of gun control.

CBS News is following this guidebook, it seems. They try to soft-pedal us by referring to 'gun-law reform', 'commonsense gun-safety' measures, etc., not 'gun control'.

"Common sense gun control" is all in how the bearer handles arms. "Common Sense" has nothing to do with their desire to ban guns.
