Superficially maybe, but both are a compromises to our rights IMO. It all has to start somewhere.
I had a friend who did that, years ago, when crossing back into the US from Mexico. He'd been to a conference(?) with some other teachers; because he'd driven all the way down, he didn't have to drive back and had taken advantage of the fact and gotten completely schnockered. When the nice border guard asked if they were all Americans, the other three had answered "yes," but when they got to him, he said "Si, senor." After eight hours of putting on his best Hugo, Oklahoma accent they finally let him go...completely sober...When they ask "Are you an American Citizen", all you have to do is say "Si Señor" and you're on your way, right?

I suppose you'd support UBC because we have some folks who shouldn't buy guns? Same argument. Same results, too - no punishment of illegals either way. Just a violation of freedom for everyone.
