Horrible article. A completely slanted pisspoor excuse for "journalism". The author clearly had a point they wanted to make and searched out statements to back their opinion. Did anyone else notice how the author put the words "assault rifle" into what the officer was saying? If the media gets this much wrong about firearms, how much do they get wrong about other stuff?

I don't get it??? What was the article about? Was it crime in Tulsa? About firearms used in crimes in Tulsa? But if all they recover is 380, 9mm, and 45 what does a rifle have to do with anything? If I pull out my rocket launcher your 9mm looks pretty small. I don't get it?

The point of the article that they are really trying to get across is all in the title: "Assault Rifles Have Special Allure to Criminals." The rest is just filler. Never mind that it isn't even what the cop was saying. They asked a random badge why criminals might like that kind of rifle, and he hypothesized a bit, which becomes proof that these weapons have special allure for criminals. The Tulsa World must not be doing so hot financially. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel by employing jokers like the author and editor of this piece of trash.

However, by publishing that particular article they qualified for a federal anti-crime grant and a slot on the Ministry of Propaganda preferred list.

Weeeeeell, he's not really a shooter, even though it may be a critical function in his career field.

Id10t proof. Interesting. It is sad that the media is not.

Ha! They sent me after the ID10T form when I first got in the army. Haven't heard that in a while....

I have a media bias because of their notorious capacity to fv@k up a two-car funeral but on this topic, you'd think they'd want to do an "extra super good job" of getting things right if it slants their way. Either they got it really right and this guy was licking windows five minutes before the interview or he just sucks at articulating an otherwise coherent, albeit stupid, thought. I guess, in fairness, the third option could be that they did their normal hatchet job both on his thoughts and their own.
