Olyeller did some trigger smoothing for me. Installed new sights to help an old guy shoot better... He also shipped out the slide to have the "S&W 1911 SC" wording taken off.

My camera does not do justice to the smooth finish and deep color of the slide.

This is the "before" shot. I like the 'after" lots better!
Haven't shot it yet, but a bit of dry firing feels way better than before...

Thanks! I bought the grips in one of the suburbs of Portland OR several yrs back. I can't remember what they were called. (I have a good memory, it's just getting shorter as I get older...) They could very well be burlwood, they kinda match the dashboard in my convertible!

Mike mentioned something I'm gonna think about. He said the gun was a bit hard to hang onto when he test fired it, probably due partly to the slick grips. He suggested getting grips with some checkering or some such. The grips are really good looking, and I like 'em a lot, but the next trip to the range I'll put on some old grips that have more "grip" to see if there's a big difference.

Yeller does some good work. I had him stipple my grip for me. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but it feels great and best part is it looks OEM :D

I tried to spend more money with him and he wouldn't let me..... What a retard. LOL. I will post pics later!
