after checking most places commonly mentioned. the cheapest is sgammo's pmc at $187.95 plus freight.
Rem, win, etc are $215 plus freight. so all your going to do is save sales tax over buying at walmart.
unless you just happen to stumble over a good deal.

I would watch gunbroker and watch auctions right as their closing. especially the ones at 4-6 am
I've picked up some good deals that way like win 22hornet for $20 a box. $35-45 in the store.

Since the guy is in Stillwater, wouldn't we still have to pay sales tax?

Check out Bommershooters.com we do a lot of group buys on ammo and Jessie has been able to get some GREAT prices. I will never go back to buying standard ammo as long as we are able to keep doing LARGE group buys.

the convenience of online purchase is hard to beat for most shooters, typically a no-hassle transaction with no hidden costs once you check shipping cost, vice the gunshow thing where you have to drive to ($$$), Pay admission ($$$), walk all over the show, possibly haggle, possibly pay tax on top of the price (depends on vendor), drive home ($$$). However Wanamakers gunshow is typically one of the biggest "give-away" shows where all the ammo dealers get together and try to prove they can undercut everyone in the shows price even if it means selling case lots of 762x39, 223, 9mm and/or 45 acp at a $2 a case loss just to try to prove something to each other, so overall a good place to buy under standard market conditions like we have now. The thing is you cannot be to brand specific, as long as you are open to a variety of major brands like Remington Winchester Federal Speer PMC Aguila Sellier-bellot and you are willing to walk the show all day and take notes you should find some great deals on 9mm. If you are okay shooting questionable reloads it gets even cheaper. The upper level along the north wall sports the most ammo vendors, but there are a few out in the middle, and on the lower level, who knows who will show up. Additionally the gunshow dealers suffered a brutal summer season this year so that might bring some out of the woodwork to "dump" ammo at this show to catch up on bills.

Will in-store pick up be an option in the future?

Possibly, we have been looking to move to a new warehouse where we will allow customer P/U in the afternoon, Tuesday-Friday for a couple hours (something like 1-3pm), not going to do a "store" where people can browse, just a pick up window in a lobby and the orders will have to be prepaid and made on the website ahead of time. There have been some difficulties here locating a new warehouse as there is not much in stillwater either to buy or lease, so we may have to build which means even more time and even the quickest options will not materialize for a few months
