I've decided that I hate the fair more than I previously thought I did. Obviously it is either highway robbery or extortion considering it is nine freaking dollars just to go inside. Then you need to put your house up if you want to eat anything. But today was worse. I was there with my whole family which consists of me, the wife and three kids, two of which are in strollers. This meant that we had to separate to get anything done. The whole time, I was on high alert mode. So much so that I am now absolutely exhausted. I remember when I was oblivious to the world around me and the fair was a great time. Oh well.

I went yesterday with my wife. After parking and admission it was $23 just to get in. Weird thing is I'm pretty sure I only saw one mullet the whole time we were there. How times have changed. Food and drink prices are pretty rediculous, but people seem to gladly pay them because there were lines everywhere to buy some. Wife will be 55 next year so we can both get in free on Senior Day.

Go on Opening Day, $2.00 admission or Super Tuesday, $3.00 admission. I believe military personnel get in for free on Super Tuesday too, for those of you that serve.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the best part of going on Opening Day, attendance is WAY down. Lines are short or non-existent and we were actually able to navigate the buildings. After this year's positive experience I will go on Day 1 or not at all.

It was raining the first day of the fair, or we would have went then.

We are going to try it out tomorrow, Monday, and see how it is.

It was a real light mist and we didn't spend much time outside so it didn't bother us. We just hop from building to building, the midway is for the kids.

Oh man ... this makes me not even want to go ... And GC was kinda looking forward to it. I guess I'll just suck it up and do the dirty deed. From now on it's opening day or Senior Citizens Day for us though ... (Yes, yes, yes, I robbed the cradle -- GC will be able to get in on my skirttails as I'll be 55 in January.)
