What did you do in the reloading room today?

Loaded a ladder batch of 77grain OTM .223 rounds. BL-C(2) - 23.7, 24.2, 24.7 and 25.2 grains - five of each. Maybe at some point, the wind will die down and I can get out there and test them. I've got another 280 of these projectiles that I want to get loaded up.

Wednesday looks like lowest wind here this week.

I fully prepped some Cavim .308 cases including neck turning and loaded some 4064 and Varget to sent the 168gr ELDM down range.
Going to compare that brass against Winchester, Lapua and Norma.

I turned the necks down in 3 steps to get it to .014" thick.
I will add the cavim cases measure the same for the same year stamped on the case.
It is stiff brass like Lapua and the Norma is also stiff as far as seating pressures feel they all felt darn near the same except winchester cases which took 1/4 the effort to seat the bullets.

I'm sure you could shoot at least 7 or 8 doves with all those 20g shells.

Managed to get out back and test fire the ladder I loaded up the other day and the verdict is in.

25.2 grains of BL-C(2) between a 77 grain OTM and a Federal gold medal primer is the load I was looking for out of my 22" barrel.
