The swager by RCBS did not work for me and I sold it at a very reduced price.
I would have to cut the crimp on about 80% of the cases I used the swager on.

The cutter used on the primer pockets has not hurt my accuracy at all.
That for me is the bottom line.
Has not hurt case life for me either.

Maybe I got a bum swager from RCBS.
It was New not some used up one.

Huge disappointment

Ordered a 40mm scope sunshade.
Tried 5 rifles with brands of scope and it fits none of them.

It wouldn't be so bad, but I paid $6.10 for the thing. Guess I will see how it does on Son's and grandsons' rifles.

My search continues.

Tried it on 3 scopes that son has. Fit NONE. Gave it to grandson to see if it will fit on any of his scopes.

How did it shoot?
Sadly, I didn't get them loaded. My reloading stuff is over at my parents, and I had to get back home before I could get them done. Got the cases primed so made some progress lol. Hopefully I can get them loaded and tested at the range in the next few weeks depending on the weather.

Continued cleaning primer pockets this morning.(never finished)
Found a cracked case so I went back through around 800+ cases and checked them all again.
Squeezed 2 in the vice and confirmed they were in fact cracked.
Try again tomorrow.

Look at the case on the left.
The rim has been pulled out of shape by the extractor.
This is from the case sticking in the chamber.
Could be from over pressure and that over pressure can be caused by the bullet "Welding" itself into the case neck.
Old ammo this can happen to and sometimes just a year old can cause welding/sticking projectiles in the case.

If I see a line or crack I will check it with a paper clip that I straightened out and bent into an L shape and the bottom of the L will hook or let you feel the crack from inside the case.

I pinch them flat when I find a bad one.

Or i insert some copper wire into the case in a U shape with the rounded part of the U sticking up out of the case by 1/2" or so.
Then fill the case with molten lead.
Instant fishing sinker.
Plug primer hole with an old primer of course.

If you have old ammo you plan on shooting and have a press and die for that type of ammo you can set up the press to seat the bullets a couple thousandths deeper.

If you hear a POP when seating the bullet deeper that bullet was stuck in the case neck Dissimilar metals and galvanic corrosion you know the rest.

That is a great idea.
I'm thinking a barrel swivel soldered in the primer pocket would make a great rig.
