Not all gunshow vendors are going to try and f*ck you. But you have to realize that prices are climbing due to demand. I think that most of the manufacturers have been preparing for the panic.

I've been saying long before the election that I'll buy ammo every chance I get - not because of any ban, but because at this point in my life I have a little extra money I can throw at it, and it's likely not ever going to get any cheaper. Ordered some more today, in fact. Hopefully I won't have to worry about buying any for quite some time, no matter how expensive it gets, or if imports are banned, taxes levied, etc. I'll just go shoot.

I'm not fear mongering or mongering fear, but as a reasonable person I have to wonder if its possible and looking at Australia and England have to believe its possible.

I was really looking forward to the show this weekend. However, as a couple other people said, I'm not going to bother going and deal with the inflated prices and crowds of people thinking Obama is going to magically ban gun sales next week.

I'm more concerned about ammo than actual firearms. My bro and I were talking about this the other day: The 2A protects the firearms but doesn't cover ammo so I suspect there will be several behind-the-scenes tactics employed in that arena.

Not all vendors but you're not going to hear anything I've just posted from anyone at the Wane. Either way, the demand is what I'm talking about..... there's no real immediate reason for it.

Research it..... fear mongering. (or mongering fear as Dustin says) Read up, it has to pass 2/3 of Congress.... won't happen..... if it did....it would be struck down by the Supreme Court. I know there will be some crazys that believe all this can/will happen, but the rational gun owners out there need to relax.

Technical Correction - the Constitution says that Treaties must be submitted to the Senate not the full Congress for ratification. Therefore much riskier from a Conservative's point of view since the Democrats have a majority (maybe super-majority - haven't seen the final results yet) in the Senate.

Update: the 113th Senate will be more Democratic by two Senators for 53 and the two Independents will caucus with the Democrats for a basic alignment of 55-45, five short of a super-majority.
