What handgun would you buy for $493.00?

I have always considered my income tax return to be guilt-free-gun-money,,,
So here I sit with a $493.00 refund in the mill,,,
And for the first time ever,,,
No idea what I want.

I've usually gone into tax season with a gun in mind,,,
But this year I really don't have the jones for anything in particular.

I have good semi's from mouse guns to full size duty weapons,,,
I have quality revolvers from .22 plinkers to .44 magnum boomers,,,
I have all of my long gun needs covered and then a few just for why not sake.

So far the only gun I have thought of is an Uberti Cattlemen SAA clone in .22 LR,,,
I own a really nice Dakota SAA clone that might just be an Uberti,,,
It is a 5.5" case colored frame with brass backstrap and guard,,,
Taylor & Co. markets an identical gun chambered in .22 LR.

This would be my purchase if we could only locate one,,,
My good friend at Best Pawn & Trading Company is looking for one,,,
But so far none of his distributors have one and I don't know where else to look.

So in case that idea falls through,,,
I could use some suggestions.

Call H&H in OKC, normally they stock some Uberti and Taylors.

Thanks for the heads-up,,,
I'll call them today.

CZ 75b can be found for around that price.

Three years ago I paid exactly $499.99 out the door for mine,,,
Someone tell me why the .22 LR Kadet was $100.00 more.

How about a Ruger single action 22LR/22Mag?

I know this will be considered heresy,,,
But I've never warmed up to the Ruger SA revolvers,,,
Even though their quality level is right at the top of the performance charts.

I like Ruger a lot,,,
I have 5 Ruger semi-auto pistols,,,
And I wouldn't mind owning a SP-101 in .22 LR,,,
But there is something about their SA's that just doesn't tickle my fancy.

3.5 hipoints

Or one pistol and one carbine. :wink2:

But seriously,,,
I was considering a Ruger SP-101 in .22 LR,,,
But the idea of a SAA clone in 22 LR that matches my .357,,,
Well that just speaks to my heart so I think I'll hold off and try to find that gun.

I have nine .22/centerfire pairs in my collection,,,
This Taylor & Co. SA would make ten,,,
It's a kind of obsession for me.
