Surely your not going to use George Soros as a reference.

OK - that totally negates the fact that he somehow has a B rating by the NRA (good luck finding any of his historical ratings without having to dig like crazy).

The man said specific things in front of thousands of people and signed the ban (and the NRA rightly bashed him for it at the time). Now he has a B rating for telling everyone what he stands for (many here would call that flip-flopping if Obama did the same thing).

Keep telling yourself they're not the same guy.

Everyone has the right to change their mind over time. Romney throughout the campaign said we don't need new gun laws, we need to enforce the ones we already have on the books. He met with the NRA, and after that meeting they endorsed him. I'm hoping the NRA will hold him to whatever they discussed in that meeting. Plus, Ryan is pro 2A. The only candidate this year that has called for more gun restrictions is Obama

Yet we bash Obama for it and excuse Romney for it. The NRA's stance on Romney right now is disgraceful seeing as how he was public enemy #1 not even a few years ago. http://mediamatters.org/blog/2012/10/03/nra-rewrites-history-to-hide-romney-support-for/190318

How could he be public enemy #1? He wasn't the President of the United States. He was only governor of Massachusetts. What the people of Mass. wanted and what their governor did had no bearing on the other 49 States. He's made the statement quite clear that he doesn't see the need for any new gun laws. Quite the opposite of what Barack has said.

No, they keep these buckets inside their houses and cabins. Usually in the corner. Most of the time the crap buckets are the ones with the turtles in them. Some of these Alaska villages are still living by third world standards. No jobs, no money.

Lol well I had to go outside so that's the only experience I had, I was living in an artic tent though.

Isn't that what the British were saying when their soldiers were dying in the US (replace freedom with "civilization")?

Now look at us, the ole Brits must be proud - Yeah, we're going to free the $#@! out of them whether they like it or not.

That's laughable that you would even try to compare the American Revolution with Afganistan or Iraq. They aren't even in the same ball park.

Like has been said, he did what his voters said. As the Governer in his state, he has that right.
When one becomes POTUS.....

I will accept your point. How does this make Obama a BETTER choice?

And Soros ain't really an impartial source.

I've never said Obama is a Better choice - my stance all along has been pretty clear. And what does it matter where the facts came from if you can verify them with numerous sources?

Please explain.

He did a hell of a lot more both before he was governor - during his senate-run he made statements that were anti-gun and ran on a campaign of supporting anti-gun legislature. During his time as governor - still more anti-gun statements, but he was always slick about them (just like he's being slick now - he's never said he agrees with many of the basic rights that everyone on this board would agree makes someone pro-2nd amendment).

Believe what you want to believe, but facts are facts.

Afganistan & Iraq where not revolutions, it was not started by there own people, they didn't declare there selves free from there oppressive government. Should I keep going, it's been over 10 years in Afganistan and they still don't want to take care of themselves, nope I see NO similarities between Afganistan and Iraq, and the American Revolution.

Afghanistan and Iraq are most certainly revolutions, revolutions that are not complete. It's hard to take care of yourself when that oppressive government you mentioned is occupying your nation and influencing all of your politicians, and using drone strikes on all your neighbors/allies/trade partners. I think fighting back is at least a sign of trying to take care of themselves. We would want "help" in that form?
