If one were want to trade 5.56 ammo for 9mm, what would be a "good" trade in todays market? Your opinions please.......How many 9mm ammo should one get for let's say, 300 rds of 5.56?

In "today's market" both of those calibers are difficult to find so the numbers wouldn't change much. For the sake of easy numbers say 30 cents a round for 9mm and 50 cents a round for 5.56: 300 x .50 = $150/.30 = 500. So if I were trading 300 rounds of 5.56 for 9mm I'd be looking for 500ish rounds of 9.

That would be assuming the 9mm and 5.56 were of comparable quality; obviously there are variables that you'd have to take into consideration like if there is a discrepancy in the value of one ammo vs the other, like if you're trading steel cased for brass cased or that sort of thing.

I may be posting up her soon........I have .55 gr. American Eagle and .62 gr. green tip on stripper clips. Just trying to get an idea.

You are fortunate if you have an abundance of something to trade. I am already thinner than I'd like to be on everything I shoot and each time I come home from the range I'm a little sadder in looking how little there is left, especially since I don't know when things will settle back down.

Winchester fmj 9mm is about $15 per box of 50. So about .30 a round pre craze. .223 american eagle was about .32 pre craze. .556 was about .35 pre craze.
So I'd say 300 rounds of brass .556 is equal to 320 rds of 9mm fmj.
I can't tell you today's prices as I've seen it from 1.20 a round and higher so I just deal at pre craze if there's no money involved.
I have plenty of winchester 9mm fmj if you want to trade a few hundred and avoid the hassle.
