What was your first "expensive" gun?

What was the first gun you ponied up some bucks for that you would consider an "expensive" gun?
Obviously budgets and taste varies....but I assume we can all agree that a Walmart 10/22 isnt expensive.

Mine was my Springfield M1A Loaded. I didnt want to pony up all the cash at once so I used the stores layaway and put 25% down...then the excitement got the best of me and I went back a few days later and just paid it.

I got stuff all over the spectrum. Traditional to tactical, cheap to expensive.
