I don't have all great family history stories you fellas have. Mine is my Fulton M14, second place is my Marlin 39A I bought from my future FIL.

I think I may be a little to young for this thread. My great granddad's Marlin .22 not sure of the model. I don't think it even has a model designation marked on it. From what I have found it is an early 1900 semi auto Marlin .22 fed through the butt stock. Great rifle wish I knew more about it. The rifle I learned from when spending time at my granddad's farm. I will see if I can get pics of it from my father, maybe someone on here could tell me more about it.

You are never too young. Sometimes price, brand, and model have nothing to do with what a gun is worth to someone. I love the old 22s. Can you post a couple pics? Maybe someone can help you with info.

I've got one of those. Greatest trigger of any revolver ever made in my opinion.

Yes it does. It was my grandfathers. He carried it in a holster all of the time while he worked on the farm. One of my greatest memories is riding up on the tractor with him as he reaches down and pulls out the k22 and shoots a rat or snake slithering out from under the tractor tires. Its got an ivory handle with his initials. Before he died he carved my name in the bottom of the ivory.

Nothing particularly special as they were mass produced in the late 50's early 60's and sold by Sears - but belonged to my dad and was the first gun I ever shot so I'm still rather fond of it.

Wow! What a great history. I'm sure that's one that will be passed down with your kids initials on it as well. Nice.
