Back when I was shooting matches , my H&K USP 9mm worked best for me.

I only have one gun right now, but as it's the SIG P250 (in 9mm,) I can run it as full size or subcompact at this time. Of the two sizes, I shoot the subcompact better. It's the small (narrow) grip and I'm finding that I prefer it to the medium grip. When I get a compact grip, I'm going to opt for the small to see if it carries through. The nice thing is I can mount my full size slide on the compact frame for a "longslide" version and I can use either the 15 round compact or 17 round full size magazines
