My wife got hers today. Turned in paperwork on Feb 13th. 78 days total in Oklahoma County. Called last Friday, it wasn't in. After seeing earlier responses it looks like the OSBI mails licenses out on Fridays and the sheriffs office has them on Tuesdays. She called today and they said they had it. The license was processed on April 18th.
Last year, I renewed for 10 yrs . I have had a license since Concealed carry was first passed, so I've probably been checked several times.... I think it was only 50 something days to get my new license sent straight to the house.
I've been waiting on my renewal for 30 days. Hopefully I'll have it by the time it expires on the 16th. I know I have 30 days, but John Q. Law may not.
How many of you guys & gals send in your original apps & renewals via registered mail? I always send mine in by registered return receipt mail.. so I can prove it got there and who signed for it. That way if my certified check / money order comes up missing I know where to start. I've always gotten my renewed license back earlier than most.. maybe because I could prove when they received the renewal app..
For Information
I applied for my CCW in Wagoner County Jan 21st, called and picked up my license April 23rd, and just received my letter from OSBI today, May 12th, ---- 19 DAYS LATER. If you are more than 60-70 or more days waiting, you might want to give your local sheriffs office a call just to check to see if it might be just sitting there in the drawer.
I recieved my letter yesterday as well. Pretty long wait between my ccl being able to be picked up and actually recieving the letter. I second the notion of giving your local SO a call.
