Well, my 2" 64 now belongs to GED, and I have another J-frame from him.
"R" series model 60. So that makes three J's.

Hi,

I love my no lock 442. I probably carry it 75% of the time.

The only problem with a J-Frame is you get lazy about carrying. I should be carrying my G23/CTAC 75% of the time!!

Thanks,

Alan

I've owned all three configs of the mighty J frame - the Chief's Special (models 36/37/60 etc) the Centennials (models 442/642 etc) and the Bodyguards (models 38/49/438/638/649).

The Bodyguards are my favorites. The little humpback is as ugly as a homemade gate, but they offer a shrouded hammer for pocket carry as well as single action capabilities for precision shooting. :D

If I ever buy a J-frame, it'll only be a bodyguard. I want a model 38, but a 438 would be acceptable I guess. I hate the internal locks.

My model 38 (no dash) is from 1985-86. I've only owned one locked revolver. It was a model 442. I swore I would never own another one that wasn't at least of legal age...meaning 21 years old or older.

If we get the eat, shoot, and swap (OSAWTFBBQ?) going I'd love to pull the trigger on that 38 a few times if you make it out.
