Who makes a good economical conceal carry belt?

If you were not so far away I could probably work a deal with you.
I make a belt or two now and then.
Veg tan. I have some saddle skirting leather around 10oz., Herman Oak. Cost would be about same as a Looper but twice the belt in my opinion.

If you double the leather it would be over .25 inches, no stretch, will hold a tool pouch full of tools if you wanted. The cost would be more than the looper.

A saddle skirt 10 oz with a 2 oz. liner is about right for a great gun belt.

I have some belts made in the 42 in range made. 8 oz. leather Texas oak, not as good as Herman Oak, still very good quality though. 8 oz. will hold a lighter gun pretty well, will even hold a 5 inch 1911, 45 cal. pretty good. Unless they have improved the looper, the 8 oz. with a liner is as good or better than a looper.

I'll throw another vote at the Versa-Carry.

I wear mine everyday, carry a 1911 and have had no problems. Catch them on sale and they are < $50.

I'll second the Kore belt above. Great adjustability for pre and post mealtime. They do take a little effort to thread beltloops due to their stiffness, but they do hold up to anything you're packing that day.

If you don't require a leather belt, I've had great luck with these belts made by Propper. Very stiff and handles everything I've put on it. Even wear it as a work belt when I'm not carrying.

I'll second the Kore belt above. Great adjustability for pre and post mealtime. They do take a little effort to thread beltloops due to their stiffness, but they do hold up to anything you're packing that day.

+1 on the Kore belt. I love the minor adjustments that can be made.

Got my Looper belt at locked and loaded in Choctaw. I also have one i got from @DRC458 that is an excellent belt but I can't remember the name. Maybe he will chime in and refresh my memory.

I agree with the other votes for Kore. Very well made. But they may be a bit higher than you originally intended, but certainly worth a second thought.
