I just recently picked up an XD-45 in the 4 inch configuration.

The only IWB holster I ever liked was the Milt Sparks VM2. But I'm not gonna spend over 100 bucks on one and I'll be damned if I'm gonna wait 6 months from now for one.

I need one NOW dammit! :pissed:

So. I've decided to just go Kydex instead. Plastic gun/plastic holster. :rolleyes2

Who makes a Kydex IWB holster that is comparable to the construction style of the VM2?

Please don't reccomend any of those with the huge leather backing on them like the Minotaur. They look as hot as hell to me.

I stumbled upon Raven Concealment System's wpage and was thinking about their "Phantom" holster with the rubber-like loops, but I guess I need remedial computer lessons, because I had a hard time figuring out their stupid website.

Any help from the masses? :anyone:

Comp-Tac CTAC if you just have to have all kydex... Raven's are awesome, but they have a 60-70 day wait time last I checked...

Blade-Tech makes a fine product as well, but didn't like it as much as my Raven...

That said, and I gotta say it, reconsider the Comp-Tac MTAC... I have one for my EDC and I will not wear another holster... The leather backing isn't near as big as it looks on the site and I've had it the majority of the summer and it's like it's not there no matter how hot it's gotten...
It's hands down the best holster I've ever owned...

There I said it ;)

I'd really like to help, but you have already ruled out the most comfortable and easily concealed IWB holster on the market, the Comp-Tac Minotaur. Good luck in your search.

It's not that I've "ruled it out" per se, it just looks so damned HOT because of that big ol leather backing! :ugh2:

Bare kydex doesn't absorb sweat. I would think a little leather added to the mix would make it feel cooler.

No, because with Kydex, the sweat runs off of it. With leather, it soaks it up so you feel it all day and then eventually, you have a dry rot issue to deal with.

Don't get me wrong...I love my leather...just not in my britches. :disappoin

Crossbreed Supertuck? I know, it has the big leather backing, but it really isn't hot. They'll let you send it back if you don't like it, and turnaround time is about a week in my experience.

I've been using Comp-Tac holsters for years... The one I like was called the Shirt Tucker, I think it's called the Infidel now. Anything they make is outstanding and their customer service is second to none.

You realize that non of this makes any difference if you sell off the gun before any holster can even be delivered... lol.
