Why do I sound like a saddled horse when wearing my leather holster?

I’ve used lexol, mink oil, any leather treatment oil on holsters, leather belts, knife sheaths. Set them out in this sun, heat for a couple hours, soaks in deep. Softens up, quiets down. Makes Wolverine boots fit so well.
Saddle soap seemed to make it worse. talcum powder won't last and gets everywhere. I'm going to have to find something. Imma try some Mink Oil next.

I had that exact issue last fall when switching to my winter gear. I had worn the winter holster approximately 800 8-hr days (off and on over the years) , so it definitely wasn't worn out. 700 of those were on a knockoff 5.11, the rest were on a thicker 5.11 Riggers belt. I called the holster manufacturer, 1791, and they said I had most likely gotten it wet. They replaced it free of charge. This information won't help the OP, but it may help someone else on here.
