I'm not seeing any push back in the face of all the gun control regulations that have been proposed. Given the power that was shown in killing gun control in the Senate why aren't there efforts underway to restore Second Amendment rights and protect school kids?

Things like:
Armed teachers or guards in schools
Repeal the federal gun-free school zone laws
Restore gun rights of veterans who are recovered from PTSD
Fix the NICS system

Because legislators like Coburn are too busy selling out

I'd say b/c they got everyone distracted. The bombings happened & after the gun debate failed they overloaded the networks with bombing coverage while Obama was pushing EO's through without it ever being talked about. I fear alot of people let their guard down after the Senate failure. Some probably thought that a major win but it was a pebble & the real fight is on now.

They can't do it in the senate, but the house could be passing something. It would be a waste of time though since it would never even be brought up for a vote in the senate.

Many states are pushing back though, and that is a good thing to see.

Agreed. The best avenue for rolling back the antis is at the state level right now. You couldn't move a partisan bill through both legislative branches in DC with a barge full of Ex-Lax.

Yet, here in Oklahoma, our state Senate killed some bills like the firearms freedom act in committee. The Tulsa City Council has vowed to lobby the state legislature to kill concealed carry in parks. It looks like we need to focus on our own backyard to spend more time and energy on these folks.

It wasn't about saving the lives of children and adults...Sandy Hook and Aurora were just events that allowed Hussein Obama's admin to take big steps to begin a national registry of guns.

As callous as it may sound, we lose that many children and adults probably every several days to few weeks at the hands of people driving under the influence, yet we don't see Queen Michelle Obama attending MADD conventions, or addressing the dangers of driving under the influence or smoking.

The Obama's don't travel to Chicago and cry about innocent people killed by gang warfare, which far surpasses Auroa and Sandy Hook every year.

Folks, there are innocent people dying every year at the hands of bad people that the Obamas, Feinsteins, Bloombergs. etc., don't give a second thought to.

These are just crocodile tears to try and make gun ownership illegal.

Agreed. The use these events like this for political gain ONLY. Hell more people die each year from medical related mistakes by doctors & nurses than by gun violence & it's grossly more. Yet you don't see them lobbying to get better oversight on the medical community cause there is nothing for them to gain. The medical community is a money making machine.
