It uses a dirt bike wheel/tire and hand brake. It worked very well, the single wheel is the only way to get between the boulders and brush. It carried the elk and our gear, it is rated for over 1000 lbs.
They actually discourage using carts at the hunt. They showed photos of 2 wheel carts with broken wheels.

Yeah, they showed us that too. Interesting cart. The single wheel would be a big plus as my cart had to bump over them or go around.

I have the Cabella's mule and opted for the four wheel option. As a volunteer, we hauled three elk out with it.

Pretty rocky, but we worked around it.
