^^^ this^^^Im not a smith, but I think if the gun stays overnight at his shop, it has to go in his bound book, so it would have to be logged out to the owner, so a 4473 background check would be required. If I have been told wrong, I would like to know.
Were you the one dropping off the gun?
The forum is an excellent place to bring it up. There are many of us out here who might learn something from the answers he gets.It seems that this might have been a transaction between Carter and Honeybee. If that is the case, why not just ask him yourself. He seems, as well as others, have made it pretty clear. No need to bring it to a forum to ask the question. Honeybee seems to be stand up person and wouldn't be doing anything to harm someone.
Unless he was getting your wife's info for his "personal" use.
