Good for both of you!He used a CZ 512 22 magnum scoped. We gutted the sow and cut off her head to make her lighter. It wasn't as bad as the doe I got on the last day of deer gun season though, that doe was killing my shoulders! I would think the pig would be heavier but surprisingly it wasn't that bad on the shoulders compared to the deer! Definitely need to get a good shoulder pad when "backpacking" large wild animals! It'll at least help reduce fatigue on me shoulders hopefully.
The ammo used was standard Winchester FMJ 22 mag. FMJ for deeper penetration for hogs.Congrats to your Dad! Yeah, tell us about the rifle and load!
