I've owned six, still own 2. As far as popularity goes, their wait times have tripled from when I bought my last one. Nighthawk wants Wilson prices with a bit less quality small parts IMO as they don't make the amount of parts, frames and slides in-house that Wilson does. Dunno what you mean by mags being better than STI?

I didnt know that about Nighthawk, i am in the market for a 9mm 2011 and a few STI guns caught my eye, as well as the Nighthawk Talon FLX. The prices are pretty much the same.

Personally with doublestacks, I'd stick with STI, SVI, Brazos, or someone like Mike that knows them inside and out. You'll be happier in the long run IMO.

while generally agree with most of the comments by gmthunder and ol'jeller.in the early '90's i bought a wilson millineum protector and it wouldn't run for ****,sent it back twice, still no love.took it to Dr Barry and it was all good after he got through with it. I think were i to spend the money today i would just have Dr Barry or ol'feller or my nephew build me one from the ground up.
