As the title to the thread say's! Just where would we be?? Please keep it friendly, and realize, and research all the firearms he created, all of his patents, not just the patented firearms. You'll find that nothing really new in the firearms world has been created since 1926 when he passed away.

Except maybe the potato gun....

I agree he easily is the dominant designer in this industry.

I imagine some of the younger folks on here don't even realize the effect the he has had in firearm development. Almost all the semi-auto firearms today wouldn't be here without him.

I have handled, shot or owned many of JMB's designs. There is a simplistic genius in his designs and a warmth that can only be understood by someone who has felt it.
The 1911 is the standard by which all other auto pistols are measured. Whether you like it or not, you cannot deny it is not true.
The HP is the grandfather of all hicap pistols and showed that a smaller caliber pistol is capable of being superbly deadly and accurate as well as dead nuts georgous.
I wont even start about the Shotguns.......that is abundantly clear.
The M2.....The weapon of the gods.....

JMB is immortal for these simple facts.

I think the real question is, with out Tesla, where would we be? Not enjoying this forum with 110ACV, that's for sure!

With out Browning, we'd still be shootin' wheel guns!

Tesla and Sir Browning would have made one heck of a firearm together.

I completely believe that if these two were still around, civilization would easily be 100 years ahead of where we are now.
