Some things to consider;
1. Higher speeds usually equates to more draw weight. If you should miss a shot, the post adrenaline fatigue and cold can make it tough to recock a heavy draw weight bow, especially from a tree stand.
2. In lieu of draw weight, longer limbs can get you more speed but if you are a spot and stalk hunter then the longer limbs can be detrimental when moving through brush.
3. Shorter heavier limbs are better for spot and stalk type hunting but the extreme angle imposed on the nock serving requires more frequent re-serving.
