Thats pretty cool, theres a guy that lives a few blocks from me that has a liberty. Not sure of the lift height but its got 31's on some black soft 8's. Their pretty neat looking. I wonder if people give him or you for that matter a hard time or building something like that. Everyone gave me a hard time for building an XJ and wanted to know why I didnt do a wrangler of some sort which I have, 79 CJ-7 on 35's. I like building stuff that is a little different than the every day. Not to say I dont like all jeeps because I do, I love it all actually. Just my :twocents:

Just noticed someone asking about me Jeep.

No one has ever made a bad comment about my Liberty; I think most people are just impressed someone with a Liberty ever takes it off the pavement, and that I built it up a little bit. Like you, I wanted something a bit different than the norm and something a bit more friendly to daily drive and carry passengers and cargo.

Hell, this is my wife's daily driver, and we have a 13 month old son. No one laughed when they saw us driving it around during the Christmas Ice Storms this year, taking our son from one Grandparents to the other ;) no way was he going to miss his first Christmas! My daily driver is a Dodge Dakota quad cab 4x4.... not much aftermarket for it but it does fit 33" tires (285/75r16 stock), so it has some cheap all-terrains on it. I just wanted a truck.

The Liberty really is a bit more "streetable"than an XJ, Wrangler, or even the old ZJ and WJ jeeps, with the IFS, even though the gas mileage is no better (15 mpg maybe?). No removable top is what I wanted in this vehicle (for comfort), and 4 doors. But I'm also pretty confident I could go most (not all) places a Wrangler with open differentials and 265/75r16s could go.

OK. Now after seeing Dave's pics I'm starting to miss my CJ7. 81 CJ7 258, T-5, D300, Stock Dana 30 and Model 20. First vehicle I completely rebuilt. Sold it to another member after my wife said, "I'm pregnant." Still kicking myself on that one.

Nothing like a CJ. When a Jeep was a Jeep. I can't look at these picks anymore. It is giving me the fever.:hot:

Hey Jeepers! Thought I'd pass this along.

The Post Office is having a car show July 10th in Bricktown.
The Post Office is sponsoring. We are just giving them a place to hold it. It'll be next to Bass Pro in OKC.
This would be cool if you entered your jeeps (or whatever else you may have). I will be entering my Jeep.
Last year I was the only Jeep there. I got a 2 shirts and a cool picture. It was fun and relaxing. All the kids loved the Jeep. If it was them voting I think I would have won:sweat:
Hope to see some OSA'ers there!
Someone should showup muddy!
