I have been reevaluating my spending on this hobby over the next year or two. I'd rather own less toys and live free, than own more toys in a state where those in political power only want me to believe I am free.
I was going to spend $400 on a pistol class in the Tulsa area. I was going to spend some money at the gun show.
I have reached the conclusion that I would rather own less firearms and skip an expensive 2-3 day class and spend that money on correcting the political trend I see happening in our state.

I will still retain NRA membership (thought not a dime more than the $35) but will spend a few hundred dollars over the next year or two to contribute politically.
If all of us do this who are for 2a and RKBa, we can make a huge difference.

I want to maximize my bang for the buck.
Some guidance is needed on where to spend.

Veggie meat, thank you for your list, though I don't see it on your blog (the folks who voted for it but killed the override attempt). I would really like to see that list.

Is this the list?

John Auffet (D)
*Samson Ray Buck (D)
John Carey (D)
Larry Glenn (D)
*Wes Hilliard (D)
Chuck Hoskin (D)
Scott Inman (D)
Ken Luttrell (D)
Wade Rousellot (D)
Jerry Shoemake (D)

if this is the list, anyone know which of these live in more conservative districts?
Dems living in more conservative districts will be easier to replace. Perhaps the ones who were excused from voting are the ones easiest to replace?

thanks and let's not forget this and what happened here.

Money talks, and often a few thousand dollars can decide local races.
We all need to contribute what we can.
$30 X 1000 contributors can make someone win.

Let's not forget!

Yep. It's actually in the first post on my blog, but the list part didn't make the automatic teaser. I just now edited it to show the entire post on the home page. There is a link to all of their OKHouse.gov pages on each of those names there... I just had a couple of other things I was doing and so I didn't link them in my post here.

Here are their districts (respectively). I don't know how conservative/moderate/liberal/libertarian any district other than mine is, to be honest.

86 (Adair, Cherokee, Delaware) (TL: 2016)
49 (Carter, Love, Marshall) (TL: 2020)
21 (Bryan) (TL: 2014)
7 (Delaware, Ottawa) (TL: 2016)
22 (Cleveland, Garvin, McClain, Murray, Pontotoc) (TL: 2016)
6 (Craig, Mayes, Rogers) (TL: 2018)
94 (Oklahoma) (TL: 2018)
37 (Kay, Osage) (TL: 2018)
12 (Rogers, Wagoner) (TL: 2016)
16 (Muskogee, Okmulgee, Wgaoner) (TL: 2016)

I will be knocking doors for David Derby in Owasso on Saturday. Some knucklehead thinks he can do a better job than him but can't articulate why. So now the Republican Party will be spending $$ to keep David in office even though he would be uncontested in the Nov election.

That said, we still need to remind the Republicans that they didn't do themselves any favors during the Bush years. David knows I'm only a Republican because they are the closest thing to the Tea Party. ;-) Let's keep them on their toes.

My paycheck comes from our tax dollars. Under my interpretation of the state ethics laws, I cannot form or lead a campaign committee. I can also not campaign for or against issues or candidates during my hours of employment.

My blog is fine because I do all of the writing and posting after (or before) hours on my own time.

I see.
We need to find someone and get it going.

As a former Union rep... At least when I get to hell at least a few of you folks will have time to get to know us better.

Half the **** that gets spouted by the anti union element comes from folks who
work on the basis of heresay or what they see in the movies.
The Troopers union had an opinion... But the god, guts, and gay wannabe "conservatives" we elected refused to nut up and overturn our Wimp lame duck Henry. At least the union stated an opinion and stuck to it.... more than we can say for some wanna be polickers.

Now... Go work all weekend for straight time....

The other half comes from people who have been forced into crap unions that only existed to line the pockets of unseen bosses who haven't done a days honest work in their life. I am not making this personal, your union might just be the good one. That's fine, I'm glad you believe in it enough to be a rep. My experience was different, as was that of the American auto makers.

Thanks again, Veggie Meat. I have copied this list down and saved it.
I will be contributing equally to each of their opponents come September. Time to sacrifice for what we believe in.

Not just auto unions... I've heard plenty of carpenters and airline mechanics complaining that the union rewards laziness and discourages people being productive.

That doesn't sound much like a good thing, to me, but then again, I ain't never sat on the receiving end of either a gov't OR union dole....
