For the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would vote Democrat on anything given the utter devastation they have caused to this country. There are a lot of scummy Republicans, don't get me wrong (I personally consider myself Conservative, not Republican).

Any person who considers themselves a Democrat in today's climate though, obviously feels strongly enough about liberal issues to give themselves that label, and will not get my vote. For those people who consider themselves Democrat because "my pappy was a democrat and so was his pappy before him", obviously has no clue about politics in the first place or they would realize it is not the same party as the one their father and grandfather belonged to.

Both the dems and the republicans can kiss my glass.

I have talked with Askins a number of times and I have to say that I would trust her over most any politician that's out there. And I would trust Fallin the least. I would rather have Askins as a friend. That being said, I don't agree with Askin on a number of issues and as much as I dislike it, I will have to vote for Fallin. Why, because she is too much a political animal and won't burn her party. I don't agree with the party on a lot, but they are closer to constitutionalist then dems.

Here, but occasionally There.
I grew up in a Democrat family. In the beginning, I was a registered Democrat. However, beginning about 1968, I registered as a Republican but still voted for the candidate instead of the party. In fact, I haven't seen a Democratic Party candidate, at least for president, that shared my beliefs since John F. Kennedy.

Nowadays, with the leadership within the Democratic Party, I have to believe that to be a Democrat, especially one in Congress, one has to "toe the line" in order to get Democratic Party funding. So, if a politician is like Dan Boren, he votes for Pelosi to get campaign funding. He can say what he wants about his "political philosophy", if he toes the line, he has sold out his principles.

While Jari Askins may be a very nice person, she is still a Democrat, subject to Democratic Party leadership demands, even on the state level.

Sad to see, because I know of a lot of very ethical and sensible people that just won't change from the Democratic Party. If they don't take their party back, then the Socialists will keep control.

Unfortunately, this is very true. Any more it seems the best we can hope for is the lesser of two evils ...

Very true in any year. However, given the following:

Obama = Liar
Pelosi = Liar
Reid = Liar

plus almost ANY other Obama administration official = Liar

plus the continued nonsense coming from Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.....

Then, it makes it easier to choose.
