In a nutshell, it's like living in a trashcan, as the majority of the population doesn't respect the environment. And the bible belt and morals-imposing politicians - tons of hypocritical alleged 'christians'. Lots of illegal immigrants running around without insurance. Lots of Limbaugh Lemmings who can't think for themselves. However, if you can stomach these things, there IS a LOT of public hunting land and a ton of lakes, so if hunting/fishing is your thing, and you ain't rich, it's a pretty decent choice. Most spots, crime isn't horrible off the charts. The economy doesn't take quite as big of a hit as other states during the recessions - that's a plus. We were definitely hit with the great one of 08-10, but not as horribly as a lot of places. Best thing is to make a big pro/con list-spreadsheet with your short list of 3-10 states, let's say, and go from there. Chalk up fairly friendly gun laws, and good hunting & fishing here, but not a whole lot more. OKC is the armpit and Tulsa is the taint. I'm mostly joking guys, so don't get your panties wrapped around the axle.

Like I calmly tell guys at work that whine about Oklahoma. Walmart sells these books full of maps called road atlases. And there's a company called Uhaul that will rent you a moving truck. And you don't even need the governments permission to move.

It's not a hostile thing, just an option available to you.

What's wrong with him having this opinion? There's a lot of truth to it. If he were a gun lover in San Francisco, you'd be sympathetic to him.

The "love it or leave it" mentality only reinforces our image of intolerance.

He can have his opinion.....but if I really thought I lived in a "trashcan" I would for sure be moving.

I'm just sayin....
