I missed this news on the 10th... They released the actual video footage of the Police interrogation of Ersland. 10 parts to the video, somewhere around 30 minutes total.

It's pretty amazing video... Ersland starts off by talking about all the people he killed as a platoon leader with a .50 cal (complete bs btw) and it just goes downhill from there.

Uhhhh ... there was a trial ... can you imagine how those tapes would have "poisoned" the jury pool??

As much as I gave mausermike crap for saying it...he was right when he called a bunch of OSA'rs "no barbed wire stringin commando accountants who have never been there and done that" or whatever he used to say.

I really worry about some of these people. Well, if I was the type to worry I would. Someone should worry about these people. Just not me.

I figured they would be public records. Don't think his verdict could have been much worse even if the jury had seen them...

I'm now wondering why Box didn't try to have him declared incompetent to stand trial. Seems to me that he had a much stronger case there than he ever did with the self-defense angle. (Also looks like it would have been closer to the actual truth too.)
