Personally, I don't believe that the ATF is overstepping any bounds. Federal law prohibits the use of marijuana, medical card or not. Just because it is legal in a specific state, doesn't mean you can't be arrested for it by a federal agent. The ATF is simply stating that you cannot own a gun and be in violation of the law.

State's rights TRUMP any and all ******** Federal Laws unless they were part of the Constitution, this is not so it is ********.

Actually, there are plenty of studies that show marijuana has harmful effects and if your serious about knowing I will tell you what they are, otherwise this just you on your soapbox. Marijuana is illegal everywhere in the United States via federal law and until when or if that changes then the ATF can make the prohibitions it has.

Tests that were conducted and contracted by GOVERNMENT AGENCIES through SHELL CORPORATIONS are not fact.

Ehhhh ... much as it pains me to defend some of the folks at H&H I happen to know this is not true ... I've seen them send folks who were impaired packing (without the gun they wanted to rent, purchase, or shoot -- if it was their own) more than once.

And that's a bummer about the pot ... danggit ... GC's NEVER gonna cut me any slack ... danggit ...

Never done it to me, maybe its because I throw cash on the counter and their eyes get big, or I am a business owner, or maybe I just know how to handle my **** better than everyone else can.

As much as it pains me, I have to agree with Shaggy Rogers there. I've known several filthy, greasy, communist hippies and it's next to impossible to tell they when they've been smoking. Especially if you're not actively looking for it.

The only way Shaggy there could be found out is if the help happens to read his posts on OSA. Or if he actually talks IRL like he types on OSA. And if he does, I'd like to meet him just to sit back and listen. Lawl!

Would never have a reason to talk to me unless you want to rent or purchase a home from me, then by all means, but I need to see the loan information first to make sure you can afford my home, or run a credit check to verify you wont destroy my property if renting.

Drinking I get, I just don't see the industry putting THAT much time or effort either way. The tobacco industry already has all the plans and logistics ready to go to put the fun stuff into mass production if they get the green light. To me that would be worth billions..... something worth lobbying for.
depends on how they want to pass the law's pot is easy to grow. just takes maintenance. so even if they did go full bore home growers wouldn't waste their time with prepackaged stuff. tobacco on the other hand takes allot longer to mature then age and all that good stuff before smoking.

BTW anyone who worries about the addition issues check out ibogaine if it was mandated that anyone convicted of a drug crime to be treated by ibogaine we wouldnt have the drug addiction. if we also made ibogaine free we wouldnt have issues with drug addiction.

Brother Haze, I think we must bow to these scholars with no formal legal education. After all, what do we, who have spent years studying and practicing law, actually know? I bow to Everyman's interpretation of their pocket Constitution.

Being a lawyer doesn't make you an expert on history. The Constitution isn't a difficult document to understand. Your statement is condenscending at the very least and elitist at it's fullest by the implication that the average person who has the ability to read, use logic and reason is inferior to you. Trust me, you're not as intelligent as you would like for most on this forum to think.

I am not going to finish reading every response to the Op thread. Anyone who has ever filled out a form 4473 has been asked(under Fed.Law) whether they are addicted or use any controlled dangerous drug and specifically asks about the Mary jane. Therefore, since the ATF regulates and enforces gun sale laws, They are in no way "overstepping" their authority.
