Prime example of why we don't need them. Everyone says that they're needed for rodent control. I've personally helped in the harvesting of over two dozen large rats in the last few days. Flushed by the tractor, caught by hawks and egrets...........haven't seen any snakes laying in wait either! Awesome to watch a redtail hawk slash in and nail a rat. The cattle egrets are not so graceful.

I'm starting to agree. I had to kill a "good" snake (garter) yesterday in the yard because he was eating a damn good toad. Them toads eat the june bugs that are grub worms which are a pest to lawn and landscape.

Justin - You found horny toads!!!!!!! Really! Do you know how rare they are?

I see one or two about every other time I mow the yard, and usually along the gravel road when we go for a walk. There's a shortage? I live about 15 miles from Justin, maybe were in the HT mecca!
