Hate to break it to you, my Brother in-Law is Houston PD, he just called and said the guys gun was a Makarov.
You sir, win the day.

Who gives a crap what gun it was. The guy is dead. The guy could have had the best gun period and it could have failed. Anyone that believes their gun in fail proof is kidding themselves.
OK. I found my belly band. So as an experiment, I'm wearing one on the belt with that part of the shirt tail pulled over it, the rest tucked in. The other is in the belly band, pulled up high. Both are identical 9x18 Makarovs. Very flat, even the trained eye can't discern them. One Mak has around 1,000 rounds put through it, the other around two or three hundred. Accuracy was improved through practice with the Glock 30SF. Going from that to a 9x18 improved everything. I don't expect murderers to kick down my front door. But neither did that other guy. Neither of these pistols has ever malfunctioned. But did have some bad primers a long time ago on some Wolf ammo I bought. Going to do some things outside now, while I get a feel for the BUG.
He carries three. I carry two. It's not all that difficult to carry two, either. The proof is in the pudding. I think where I'll get more criticism is in the fact that I chose identical pistols. That way I have interchangeability of ammo and parts. I bet that'll really tighten the jawlines of some gentlemen.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, that just shows you are a tad bit more smarter than InfoWar! Smart man carries same like when sporting duals any old cowboy sporting pearl snap shirts knows that!! But then you go backwards in your smart'ness, when you go to braggin about them Makarov's! LOL!!
Go get you another matching Glock30 and then you will be back on top of the brain game!
New York Reload for the "mean" streets of tulsa. I guess you hang out at Fairmont Terrace alot huh?

Believe me, I have thought about it. The problem is, Glock has all those accessories that I end up getting. I mean, gee whiz! I know a have a thou tied up in my 30SF.
I see you are obsessed with a bug. I don't think a bug would have done a bit of good in this situation. What makes you think he could have dropped the first gun and pulled his backup with enough quickness to stop TWO armed intruders who wanted him dead? He could of had 10 guns strapped to him like info war rebel and not have lived.CHenry, what I took from this news article is the efficacy of having a BUG. At first I was pissed that the guy had a weapon malfunction, but as this thread progressed, I saw that a BUG could have been a random factor in the equation for his survival. I absolutely hate to armchair general this thing, but tragedies like this are often studied, and lessons drawn from them.
