-- these new mouse traps nowadays have a HEAVY trigger pull, if you will, to set them off.

This. You really have to watch your fingers loading these new ones. I just carry it like its nitro to its spot and set it as gently as I can. Like I said before about 10 minutes and theyre going off. I got 6 or 7 juniors and 2 big fatter ones this past week, 2 small ones on one trap. I cant have a cat in the house because of my Boston terrier, he eats cats, squirrels, moles, whatever comes thru the yard and mice when he can get himself under stuff to get em.

Never had a mouse in my house but they get in the garage and heater closet. I have 3 traps out there and they are loaded with different bait. One with a bread bal a peanut butter, one with just peanut butter and the other with a piece of cat food. They each work well.

Catching mice with a trap is boring.

Almost forgot I had this little Jewell.

Put a wad of paper in the barrel, some peanut butter under the top arm for the little rodent to eat and wiggle.

BAM! The magnum percussion cap goes off, and the mouse dies from the paper hitting it. :D
