Cop was a dick, preacher was a dick, but when did getting shoved backwards justify getting shot by two cops? Looks like one of the troopers paid their way through training. I had always assumed troopers received intense training to be able to protect themselves when alone on a backwoods county road.

These troopers need to transfer to the police dept that had to handle an entire family in a Walmart parking lot. Hell, they could have shaved 10 minutes off that video and just shot them all when the first one threw a punch.

Ok, take the drinking out of it for now, he was still open carrying...

If you were approached by an individual, regardless of any other circumstance, openly carrying a firearm and a physical confrontation ensued that HE initiated, would you be in fear for your life? I would.

In this case, for the families sake I would think they would hope he was drunk, then they would have a reason that their husband/father was dead other than pure stupidity and lack of self control.

Didn't look to me like they needed any rescuing...Water wasn't moving. Just needed the amped up cops to leave them be while they pushed their truck out of the water.
