Mask pore size being larger than the size of the virus does not mean that masks are ineffective.
Masks are filtering out droplets than contain the virus. These droplets are much larger than the virus particles.
Media used for the filtration of airborne particles do not work by the same principles as those used for the filtration of liquids. Filters used in respirators and medical masks must allow the user to breathe and thus cannot clog when particles adhere to their fibers. Respirator and medical mask filters are typically composed of mats of nonwoven fibrous materials, such as wool felt, fiberglass paper, or polypropylene (see Box 2-1). The material creates a tortuous path, and various mechanisms result in the adhesion of particles to the fibers without necessarily blocking the open spaces, still allowing air to flow easily across the filter (Revoir and Bien, 1997).
This chapter will discuss three mechanisms of removing particles from the airstream: inertial impaction, diffusion, and electrostatic attraction...

My family hasn't been to a Walmart since September, I encourage everyone to take the Walmart challenge lol. You won't miss it one bit I promise.

Me and Grumpy were talking about this (going to a W-M) last night, trying to remember the last time either of us were in one. Best estimate we can come up with is about 5 or 6 years ago. We don't plan on going in one anytime soon -- mask or no mask. And you are right -- we have been just fine without Sam Walton's store.

I can't not shop at walmart. Through a personal experience, the Walton's have earned every dollar I spend there. Nobody likes a winner, but the Walton's are good people.

It was through a personal experience being the reason we will never go into another one lol.

It's as effective as hiding behind a chain link fence while being sprayed with a water hose. The virus is .125 micron, it is passing through the mask as one exhales. It passes through a mask as one inhales. The virus in the large droplets is actually safer because of gravity (that means it doesn't travel as far and hence social distancing). Ppe that is improperly worn is largely useless, improper ppe for threat is largely useless. Improper handling of ppe (especially contaminated) is dangerous. The majority of the mask are doing exactly nothing with the exception of exposing more people to bacteria because of improper handling and use.

If the virus spread as a bare viral particle, it would be designated as airborne. The science doesn't support that thesis.

Put your hand over your face and breathe. What you feel is moisture, if you are infected it will have transmittal coodies. . 125 micron isn't very big.

Please share the scientific research that backs up each of your claims.
