Success went back to the lab this morning and was able to fill the bottle. Now just a matter of waiting to hear from the PM doctor on what she will give me and figure out how to go get it.
Thanks for the support gang. Your comments have really helped.

I hope you get some relief soon. I know how exhausting it is to hurt all the time. It takes a toll on you and your loved ones.

Finally picked up what PM prescribed. Something called Belbuca which ls a film you stick on the inside of your mouth and wait for it to disolve. Someone sure got paid to prescribe this crap, what is wrong with a darn pill. First one ended up on roof of my mouth instead of my cheek but did eventually disolve. $175.00 for a one month supply. Sure hope it will be worth it.

I'm on this twice a day, with Percocet for break-thru pain. It's one of those meds that they originally used to help drug addicts deal with withdrawal and then realized it also helped with other pain.

Don't miss a dose. They typically start you at a lower dose and then build up over time. I can only tolerate so much and then the side effects (nausea and vomiting) outweigh the benefits, very much like Percocet does me. But the 2 of them together at lower doses keep me as pain-free as I have ever been in my whole life. People who mean well but don't understand my chronic pain will sometimes preach to me but, honestly, if I didn't have these 2 medications and the gabapentin I would not have any quality of life at all. That is not hyperbole.

I hope it works for you.

Eta: I forgot to add take a drink and moisten your mouth before you place the film on your cheek. It will help it stick and help it dissolve a little quicker.

What they gave me is 75mcg, first dose hasn't done much but not sure what to expect. Will take the 2nd at bed time and try to do better about getting it in right place.

Have allot more fath that mmj will help me a lot more than this stuff but again have to wait till I get my card. We are not as free as we would like to think. Many people controlling our lives that we can't fight.

My doctor told me it might take a little bit to find the most effective dose. They started me at the same dose your doctor gave you and had me up my dosage by 50mcg each dose every week until we hit the most effective dosage for me. I'm at 500mcg twice a day now and have been for quite some time now.

It works nicely unless I do something stupid -- like unloading $300 of cinder blocks outta my truck and stacking them in the backyard. Ugh ...

My doctor is a dwib that seems to feel her way is the only way, not listening or carrying about what I have discovered about my body living with it for 75 years. Small dosages do not do allot for me and never have. Big Brother and probably lawyers controlling my world.

HIPPA laws keep the feds from knowing and you dont have to tell them schit, so keep it quiet.

HIPAA laws are federal laws, MJ is still illegal federally, how'd ya like that, lol. A doctor that takes/reviews MJ license applications etc, are required to be HIPAA compliant, a dispensary (most of them??? idk) might not be covered entities, HIPAA regs would not apply. If they (Feds) want your information they can always use subpoenas or warrants since cannabis is still a schedule 1 narcotic and federally illegal.

To know who HIPAA laws apply to, you need to figure out if they are a covered entity.
Covered entities are defined in the HIPAA rules as (1) health plans, (2) health care clearinghouses, and (3) health care providers who electronically transmit any health information in connection with transactions for which HHS has adopted standards. Generally, these transactions concern billing and payment for services or insurance coverage. For example, hospitals, academic medical centers, physicians, and other health care providers who electronically transmit claims transaction information directly or through an intermediary to a health plan are covered entities. Covered entities can be institutions, organizations, or persons.

I am not a legal expert at any level but have some understanding of HIPAA law. I'm not very clear of the relationship between MJ licensing, physicians, dispensaries, and the medical records involved.

Same dosage for me.

I was taking two 300mg capsules 3x daily because I had some of those left over and they switched me to one 600mg pill 3x daily.

I started on the pills Tuesday morning and my pain has come back and stayed since Tuesday night.

Maybe it's just a coincidence but it's got me wondering about it.
