how much ammo per gun is recommended? what kind of kit? never done one before but definately want to. what kind of shotgun shoot is involved...is this like a "hunting" walk through the woods or a "military" walk? any info would be great. will a mossberg pump 24" work for the shotgun stage?
Kit? We don't use any cars, especially them damn talking Trans-Am's!
Bring 100 rifle, 100 shotgun shells(7 1/2 birdshot), and 100 pistol and you will be squared. I think we are going to forego slugs this match.
Your 24" shotgun will work just fine.

There were a lot of pump shotguns this month, some up to 28" IIRC.
Bring out whatcha got and if you need equipment specific to 3gun, I'll bet someone will have what you need. The shotgun traipse will be fun and fast, and the focus will be more on locating the targets in the woods and reloading your sg on the go.

Is there any chance that this type of match could be held on a Saturday in the future? I had so much fun with the last match and really want to go to more. But being a youth leader, it's really hard for me to take a Sunday off.
I understand. We just don't have enough Saturdays. We may have to step on someone's toes next year on the 4th Saturday. We'll see!
Would you really even consider running your match on the same saturday as USSA's USPSA match Mike? I know that we don't have a lot of date availability but that would be a real challenge for a lot of folks.
