OKC Law Firm

Some of you long term OKC residents probably have the history of this. Downtown, there is a church, Calvary Baptist Church, that is also the Davis Law Office.

There must be a story there. Anyone know the history?

No, but I do remember the spiral fire escape slide in the old bank building on Robinson and Park across the street just north of the First National Center. It was like 30 stories up; you had to kind of duck down to get in it, then two twists per floor and dumped out right in the bank's lobby. Used to really PO the security guards when a group of teenagers would come barreling down the slide into his lobby area.

I would have imagined a lawyer would burst into flames walking into a church. :bolt:

I still haven't seen all of the OKC underground.

I know a story about a lawyer (and his girlfriend) involved in something "naughty" in the old Liberty National Bank.

I almost caught them doing their "naughty."

I've had a couple lawyers try to do the naughty to me.

It depends on how crooked the church is.
There have been preachers and church executives down through the centuries that would make lawyers blush.

I'll have to ask my wife. The law firm that she works at almost bought that building a few years back before they settled just north of St Anthony's. Let me see if I can get anything out of her and I will update.
