I'm starting to drool.

David,

Do you use a lathe to turn down the original bolt knob when you install oversized bolt knobs? Also, do you think its necessary to reinforce the connection between the bolt handle and the bolt body.

Thanks.

No Sir, I turn the bolt knob down on a milling machine...

I have installed several hundred bolt knobs during the past 20+ years and so far, I have not had any bolt handles come off the bolt body...

Welding is not one of my strong suites but, when I build a rifle for Military or Police use, I do in fact have the bolt handle TIG welded to the bolt body....

I think that D&T needs to be banned for a few days while he thinks twice about posting anymore "gun porn". Dangit, he is going to cost me a lot of money that I will have to hide from the wife.

Seriously though, Beautiful work.

Sorry Huckleberry :sorry1:, I'll quit posting pictures as I don't want to get anyone in trouble...

Glad you like the rifles though - thank you!

Beautiful rifle. What is the parent cartridge of your .243? Can you show us a picture of the cartridge like with a .243 Win next to it for comparison? Sounds very interesting. Why a rimmed cartridge?

Don't listen to me about not posting more pic's, I was intoxicated on the other pictures to know what I was talking about....except about costing me money. =)

I have a hankering for a fast twist .243 to sling 95 & 105gn VLDs. May just have to scrounge up an action and let you do your thing.

I owe I owe, it's off to work I go :rubhands: Gotta start saving up "D&T" money.
