$1 round for 5.56? Isn't that a bit much?

Local shop has some 5.56 tracer for $1 a round. That seems about double what it should be. Would you buy it?

I wouldn't buy tracer ammo at all, but definitely not for $1 per round.

Im suprised someone doesn't have it listed on here for that. There are a couple regulars that think their ammo is plated in gold instead of copper.

That's not bad, considering the post in the Ammo section that shows a brick of .22lr for almost $300.

I accidentally bought a buttload of tracer ammo thinking it was XM-193 (slipped up and bought XM-196) before all this scare crap went down. I think I've got close to 500rds left. For the longest time you couldn't shoot it for fear of lighting the countryside on fire though.

Are there any concerns about shooting tracers other than the whole "burn this mother down" scenario?

Ammo is a commodity just as silver and gold. I certainly wouldn't buy it, but I don't need it. Someone who needs it will pay. Until that bubble bursts, it'll be that way.

I see Armslist is in the secondary now. All those owners who bought overpriced stuff now marking up and flipping what they bought. Average AR over $2k... As long as these newbs and unprepared don't buy in, prices ought to come down
