Thanks — I was just googling to try to figure out the differences on the 4runner! Something I read said that any pre-2014 4wd would be manual but obviously not.

Also, you said, "had" so sounds like you have space to buy mine for a steal

I was giving it some thought. Not sure yet. I prefer the manual transfer case over electronic.

Another question not about the 4Runner:

Tell me more about the flatbed on the DC tundra. Make?, size?, is it lighter than stock bed?

I have a 07 DC - thinking about going to flatbed. Thanks.

(Do we need a Gearhead thread for add-on flatbeds for old Tundras?)
Whatever it takes to get more people to see my ad to sell my 4Runner!

I bought the bed second hand. It used to be a 10ft flatbed on a landscaping truck. The guy I bought it from chopped it to be shorter and made some brackets to fit his Tundra. I’ll have to check the manufacturer when it isn’t raining so much.

I just lucked out that someone was selling it and they were in the area.

Based purely on the installation process, it is very similar weight to the original. I bet it’s slightly lighter but nothing crazy.

My next truck will probably be a 2nd gen Tundra — and when that time comes, I’ll just make some new brackets and move the flatbed over.
