Me and a buddy got out again this morning before church. It was a lot slower than yesterday, but we got our 12.

Nice Porter! The guy I was with said there were probably around 100 or so there Friday morning. Not sure if the little front moved them or what.

I think so. We saw significant decreases in bird numbers from Friday to Saturday and then from Saturday to Sunday .

Only activity on the Salt Fork this weekend was pelicans, and there were A BUNCH of them. The "wetlands" I drive through to get to my place had teal as thick as mosquitoes (seriously probably 500 birds). My son wanted to try to get permission to hunt them, but I had too much work getting ready for archery season and too little time. I'm a whole lot madder at deer than I am ducks anyway.

Not many birds this morning. This will probably put a cap on the season for me. Gotta chase Bambi around until the real duck season starts.

Incredible number of birds.........zero wind.......large water.......got there late.....hunted a couple of hours and we managed 10. Pins, shovler, gads, and wigeon.
